Final stop: Madrid. Had I known previously how much of a good time I would have had in Madrid, I think I would have demanded to stay there longer. If you think Paris is nice, you will probably enjoy Madrid ten times more. The people were so layed back. Everyone dressed like an exploding rainbow, lots of cheap but nice clothes, best food/tapas ever. We got to see the city and some of the smaller towns around. Watch a crazy soccer game complete with riots/fireworks in the streets. Practically everyone we encountered was extremely nice. Of course it helped that we were fluent in Spanish, but we flat out had a blast. Must go back soon.
It somehow turned out that Madrid was the place I took the least pictures of. Maybe because we were doing so much.
That last picture is of my sudoku book and my tiny Alice journal, which were my two companions for my two day trip to get back home, where I didn’t sleep a wink straight. I wrote a lot, and finished every sudoku. I guess I was going a bit crazy by the end. I felt like I was going to be at the airport and flying for the rest of my life. Next time I really don’t want to fly as much.
I would never trade these memories for everything, not even losing half of my readers here because I didn’t post for three weeks. I still can’t believe I’ve gone.
