A golden button

I have been looking for a good pair of sailor inspired shorts for a while and had found some while thrifting but was not satisfied with the plain stock blue buttons they came with. We often forget how little edits can transform objects. so I set out to find some gold buttons to replace the old ones. I was going to go with typical anchor gold buttons but decided on these with a crosshatch pattern, a little understated than an obvious anchor would be. I’m really happy with how they turned out.

But this day really began with another pair of shoes, while visiting my friend at her work at the renown Forum Shops at the Caesars Palace here in Las Vegas. Her store being at the end, once I reached there, I could barely walk in the heels I had worn. I actually had to stop and buy a pair of shoes to get me home because my feet were killing me (I was totally annoyed and embarrassed of this because this is what drunk girls do in Las Vegas ALL the time). I absolutely did not want to buy flip flops so I chose these slip ons from the Gap. They’re cute and comfy and I’ve kind of been wearing them non stop since this day.
