On a beautiful weekend, the best thing to do is to go to the park here in San Francisco. When there is the least bit, tiniest sliver of sun and warmth, people will flock to the park like the sun will never appear again (I’m looking at you Mission Dolores Park, that’s for another post). We made the trek over to Alamo Square park – where when people don’t know what I’m talking about, I remind them of the Full House opening song where they’re having a picnic at the park and the Painted Ladies are behind them. Yeah that park. (this photo is of the other side of the park).
It really is worth the trek and the uphill to get there because you get direct sunlight, and one half of it doubles as a doggy park full of all kinds of spectacular beasts. On the down side, it gets a lot of tourists and you have to watch your step so you don’t step or sit on doodoo.
These were my favorite dogs of the afternoon
I’ve worn this outfit before, a little less than a year ago (see here). I can’t figure what compels me to wear the same outfit again and again, but when it works, it works. AND I’m very excited to be wearing these shoes again (last seen here). After that outfit I had to throw the shoes away because they were completely unwearable; they were filthy and caked with dirt. But I loved my little Target wedges, they were the perfect color and were so comfy. After A LOT of looking I found them on ebay again. Now if I can only do it again with my red flats I had to throw away.
I’m also trying what I’m calling my new bohemian hair look – wavy, growing out bangs, side part. Excuse the frizzies and bangs (I had to put hairspray on them so they wouldn’t curl up like rest of my hair).
Excuse the sun in my face look – but this photo really captures the print on this. It’s just a skirt I’m able to wear as a strapless dress. Another way to get extra uses out of your clothes.
And a good look at the print on my little kimono
What would this post be without some more animals (I think the last three or four have all had animals!). Our indoor cat Dot loves/hates being outside. I think she ventures out more each time we let her out. Here she is thinking she’s all cool on the fence, I know on the inside she is freaking out.
Spring is here, all the cherry blossoms on our street have bloomed. There is no going back, the gopher was right for the west coast.
