My wardrobe is full of colors, but certain colors are missing – specifically red, brown, purple, and orange. Somehow they just haven’t really made their way into my clothes! (I got a lock down on heather gray, black, green, blue, and yellow though).
So while thrifting a while back, I was inspired by Krystal’s outfit to find a matching red top and bottom (I’m really into monochromatic looks right now it seems). I was able to find a great jacket, but not a pair of pants, still in search for those. I will keep an eye out for items to incorporate that will add those missing colors, but also being conscious about not overtly consuming (usually when I add one thing, I try to get rid of another).
Scarf: no name, from shop on Haight st, top: Uniqlo heattech turtleneck, blazer: vintage Nordstrom’s thrifted, pants: Zara, shoes: Paul Green Munchen from Buffalo Exchange Vegas.
This red heart sweater from JCrew that I got at a Crossroads popup shop styling event (but it’s too small), my new 2012 Moleskine daily planner/diary (had a black one for 2011, can’t wait to start using this new one), a striped scarf from Madewell, Revlon lipstick in Blazing Sangria, and the Hudson Bay blanket is there to represent my Christmas stockings hanging on my fireplace (I bought two stockings made out of old Hudson bay blankets, they’re awesome).
Is red your color? Or is it a color you tend to stay away from?
