Wedding style: sister style

One wedding down, another to go in a few days. The wedding I thought I’d have to be bundle up for turned out to be so warm (okay, pretty hot) enough that I was able to wear a strapless dress! Considering that it rained not that long ago, I will take any warmth we can get.

Since it was a family affair, I was able to take pictures of my sister Diana (hi Diana!) looking incredibly chic. It still scares me some days to see my “little” sister so grown up. She’s wearing a Nina Ricci dress (I know!), and Isola shoes. I would call Diana’s style more classic than mine, but just like me, has a soft spot for beautiful dresses.

I was able to wear the strapless dress I wore here when I was trying to be bundle up. It was nice to wear the dress just as is :) and not under lots of layers. The dress is by Ali Ro from Jeremy’s Department store San Francisco, heels are from Fornarina Las Vegas when I worked there. Plus my odd & ends jewelry- earrings from Mexico, vintage rings and vintage Bill Blass watch from Alameda flea, and an Agate and gold dipped seashell necklace that I made from the Mineral store in Las Vegas.

I also had a light coat on at first, at least for church, but it got so hot that I had to bid it goodbye for the rest of the evening. I think this dress was a hit- it was exactly what I was going for to wear to a wedding: fun, sophisticated, comfortable, and colorful.

The rolling hills of grass in Hollister were beautiful. What a picturesque location to have your wedding reception. So I wore to the first wedding what I thought I was going to wear to the second one. So here’s to another few days to figure that part out.
