Treasure Island

16 Oct

I have never been one of those people that love going to outdoor music festivals – I feel crowded and claustrophobic that I’d much rather stay at home. But I was surprised with a ticket to the Treasure Island Music Fest, I guess as a gift to take a break from my portfolio (still working on that thing, ugh).

Treasure Island was much smaller and more pleasant than any outdoor music festival I’ve ever been to (even though the thought of being on an island with no real way out kind of freaks me out).

I believe this was when Toro y Moi took stage, one of my new favorite artists!

I already know that girls go to these things dress like a gypsy and a witch had a baby, I wanted to be me and wear my new dress! A man was blowing bubbles all afternoon long?! Hope he didn’t mind me jumping in.

My trusty watch I wear every day! Plus trying out these new hairbands…

An old ring from Target and my new favorite grey nail polish from Essie called…chinchilly! What an awesome name.

I have the same sentiment for concert festivals, but one of my friends played this year at Treasure Island, and after seeing his photos and yours, and hearing that it was tolerable, I think I’ll go next year.

What’s the fabric under your hand with the ring shot?

That is my Le Sport sac bag!! Got it as a birthday present a while back. This is the only purse I use now cause it’s nylon and super light, but also because it’s waterproof!

Sounds fun – I take that it isn’t a kind of island with a beach.
Love your new dress, I don’t know what witches are doing, messing around with gypsies anyway.

We have several islands in the bay area! Only a few of them have beaches I know of (besides Treasure Island we have Alameda, Angel Island, and the infamous Alcatraz!)
I’ve had my fair share of festival goer watching that I think I’ve nailed the look most girls are going for – Homeless Stevie Nicks, and they ALL wear almost the same thing!
