Girl in a dress

I’m going to share a few pictures of one of my favorite little places along the water in San Francisco – it’s a serene and vast place with an awe inspiring tree. You can see a great bit of the ocean and land from it. But most importantly to me, it’s not overrun with tons of people.

Hat: vintage from Alameda flea. Dress: Diane Von Furstenberg thrifted. Shoes: Me Too.

I have (unsuccessfully) been looking for new dresses to wear to work that are fun and don’t necessarily look like they’re for “work” – and then I found this dress. It’s perfectly fitting of exactly what I was looking for. I brought the hat with me because it was really sunny this day, but I was thinking about making this casual with a pair of short boots and a denim jacket for another day to wear in another way. This abstract print is also a nod to Marimekko. I love it when pieces turn out to be so versatile. Very happy to welcome this dress into my wardrobe.

yes, very great dress! i love something that is work appropriate, but doesn’t feel like it belongs in an office.

The term business casual frightens me!

I’m not even sure what the heck that means anyway!

Thank you Tallia – I made the animation with the letters myself!
