Finding new color combinations to wear

Now that I’m working in a new library part time, I’ve had to change my wardrobe to be a little more dressy some days. So I had to find some new pants to wear that will transition well from work to my everyday wardrobe (aka transition from dressy to casual) very well. So when I found these damask printed pants from Zara at the thrift store, I immediately fell in love with the color. The typical me would want to wear them with a black top and black shoes – but I quickly realized that the perfect way to wear them this day would be with this creamsicle colored top my mom made me and these flats that somehow match.

Top: made by my mom for me, but this one by Splendid is pretty similar (made in USA). Pants: Zara thrifted. Shoes: Loeffler Randall flats.

So now that the Fall weather is upon us, I’m excited to figure out how to begin wearing these pants in new ways. My only issue with them (and most pants from Zara) is that they don’t have belt loops! I’m considering sewing on my own soon.

Those pants were a great find (and I hear you about the belt loops)!

  • While these pants would look great paired with black, I love this more unexpected color combo. Perfect for that fall-with-a-hint-of-summer left time of year (even if in most places the weather doesn’t match that description, lol!)

I love this color combination. And your pants are quite flattering on ya.
