How I do denim

Thanks to my sister (Hi Diana!), I now have my first (and possibly last) “boyfriend” jeans. I can’t remember if I wore this outfit to work, because I shot it before Halloween – when I do wear denim to work I like to keep it slightly more polished than sloppy, of course. Skip the t-shirt, add a belt, and dressier shoes and you’ve dressed up your denim easily with things you already have.

I was able to find this amazingly lovely St. James shirt while thrifting – read about the history of the brand here. I thought the blue and stripes of the top would combine well with a printed belt.

Top: Saint James thrifted. Belt: leopard belt. Denim: Gap boyfriend jeans, hand-me-down from sister. Shoes: Rachel Comey oxfords from Wasteland.

I’d also like to take a moment to thank our veterans and also those currently serving in the armed forces, who are fighting many things beyond our control sometimes. Thank you on this Veteran’s Day.
