Keeping warm

I don’t know how I went this long without a proper winter wool coat? When I lived in Vegas, it got pretty damn cold there but since you spent the majority if not all of your time indoors, it wasn’t really a big deal to have a real coat. Since I’ve moved to San Francisco, I’ve gotten by on lots of different types of outerwear and layers. This is the coat to shame all the others, it is A) long enough to cover my knees B) lined, and lined with the most beautiful flower print satin! C) a real thick wool that keeps me perfectly warm on chilly days and nights.

When I first found it, I was actually going to flip it at Buffalo Exchange, but then a cold front hit us in December that chilled us all to the bone and I decided to use this coat. Now I’ve fallen in love with it.

Coat: Via Spiga, thrifted (here’s a similar one on eBay). Top: Uniqlo heattech. Pants: J Brand, from Crossroads. Boots: Dolce Vita (here’s a link to a pair that’s in black and white!). Hat: H&m. Scarf: Orla Kiely for Uniqlo.
