Chasing the rain away

When it rains, it really pours everywhere! I find it uncanny that some days of the year, it seems to rain across the whole country! We can all join in solidarity the grumbles of walking in the rain and wet socks! The grumbles on my behalf have significantly quieted after I got these rain boots last year!

I looked high and low for a pair of duck boots, and I really was looking for a more classic LL Bean pair, but these Sperry ones were what I found instead. I actually don’t mind, because they’re still super practical and classic. I highly recommend to have a good pair of rain boots, EVEN if you’re just going to use them like 10 days out of the year. Because that moment you ruin just one pair of shoes, you’ll know you should have gotten your rain boots.

Hat: Vintage. Trench: Vintage Burberry, from Buffalo Exchange Las Vegas (I won’t even bother attaching a link, never pay retail for a trench coat. Thrift stores are drowning in them) . Top: Uniqlo heattech. Denim: JBrand, from Crossroads. Rain Boots: Sperry, from eBay. Umbrella: from Daiso.

Rainy days aren’t for piling on the jewelry, or making up your face like you’re going on a date, and it definitely isn’t for destroying your shoes.
