In Sausalito

Days off are starting to give me this itch – I can’t just stay home! I’m starting to feel a weird anxiety if I do. I blame this on my Tokyo trip back in May, I want to travel more and more now! Lucky for me, there are lots of different places a short drive or ferry ride away. I went to Sausalito just to get away – there isn’t very much to do, and it has become overrun with tourists. There’s a lot of beautiful and classy places to eat, one jam-packed ice cream place, lots of quiet beachy fronts if you want to just read a book or write (like me!), and my favorite, visiting the original Heath Ceramics store and studio (get a free tour of the factory on the weekends!). Or maybe I have it all wrong, tell me if I’m missing something! But it’s a quick ferry ride across from San Francisco – enough to feel like you’re away from the City. I need to take more of these afternoon trips!

So right after these photos were taken, a huge wave splashed up to the waterfront here – everything below my knees were soaked, ha!
