Pink and Red at work

Some days I’m really liking the very professional look at work (as observed here recently) – so much, that I laugh because I feel like I’m dressing up to go on the campaign trail with Hillary Clinton 🙂 I think this outfit comes down to two things instead – finding + investing in nicer things from the thrift store & wanting to inject more color into my every day wardrobe when it feels I’m wearing the same thing over and over again.

This lovely dress is a throwback to last years colorblock trend (remember here) – BUT it is a vintage Ann Taylor dress (when they were still manufacturing in the US!!) so it’s actually ahead of it’s time! Which showcases the type of vintage that I like to buy – the stuff that never goes out of style! Now…if this dress would magically become unwrinkly, I’d want to wear it again. I forgot how crinkly linen is (gonna see what the dry cleaner can do!)
