I normally don’t apologize for not posting – but I had a series of attacks on my blogs that had me working around the clock to get rid of some bad stuff that was put into the framework of this site. It was really complicated and frustrating because it wasn’t anything visually damaged or broken – the infected bits were hidden and potentially more damaging in the long run. So I spent way too much time behind the scenes fixing some stuff up! We’re all set now, phew!
A few weeks ago on a lazy day off, I got on the bus heading downtown. Two teen girls sitting across from me caught my eye. They were some crazy timewarp for me, reminding me of teen times. They were dressed very similarly, almost like they were fraternal twin sisters – almost identical, but with slight differences. They were so young, and their outfits a nod to the 90’s era they never saw at all! It made me smile. They wore mini dresses with matching sheer black drugstore tights, the kind that look they will run with the softest of touches, but with black clunky boots. And this pairing really stuck with me, I had to try it!
So I was inspired by two teens to wear this new dress with the sheer tights and casual boots. This outfit with any other shoes would be very, very dressed up. But I combined the boots and faux leather jacket to tone this outfit down.

The tights are snagged now, but not running. I think they’ll last one more wear. Sadly. I know I won’t be buying these kind any time again soon. I wish I could have shown you guys the back of this dress, it didn’t photograph well for me. But there is a thick brass zipper running the length of the back, which gives it this really cool look! Can’t wait to wear this dress again, I’m really enjoying the color green again!
