This is the feature where I show you all that it’s quite easy to shop Made in the USA second hand!
It is also my challenge to you all out there reading this, to diversify where your clothing comes from. One of the biggest complaints about shopping Made in the USA is that it’s TOO EXPENSIVE! I’ve been taking pictures of some of my thrifting trips, and how I find a variety of Made in the USA items and an incredibly low price! Some items are vintage, from a time when almost all American brands were made in the US. But many of the items are new brands, and sometimes even brand new but still second hand. To me, there is little shame when I thrift, I frequently still buy new! Here is just a small peek.
A simple cut dress with a funky print, by Amanda Uprichard
Quirky striped vintage dress with equally quirky name (Cuddle Teen?!)
A beautiful blue knit St. John vintage dress
A lush velvet top by local brand, Cut Loose
Layered cotton and chiffon top by Dolan
And the most beautiful silk skirt by Jason Wu (you best believe this skirt came home with me!)
