This old house again

Many moons ago, I dreamed of a project in which I could wear my designs. I don’t know why, but I had imagined (and I have a very vivid image in my head from that Eureka moment) where someone (me) would wear a t-shirt tucked into their pants, and their top half showed a design from a Victorian San Francisco house. I wanted to make this happen. Then I did. Then I wore it. And I have been wearing it. Probably not as much as I should. Then I got caught up in other things and never really told anyone. Oops!

I’m currently having all the designs and materials hosted through Society 6. Because they manage the printing and design components. They turn my uploaded images into other products too, even though my overall goal was for apparel! I’ve bought this shirt and I really love it. I need to get one of the other designs ASAP because I can’t keep wearing this one on rotation. It’s really fun to have people point at your shirt and ask where it came from, and then be able to respond that I made it!

Here is a link to my Society6 store and a link here to all my Society6 shirts!

I can’t remember why I was experiencing so much resting bitch face in these photos, haha!

Falling for jumpsuits

I confess, I have recently become addicted to jumpsuits…

I’m not the kind of lady that likes maxi dresses, but I do like sleek and long looks. So I think the jumpsuit achieves that for me. Maybe I’m just late to this train ;) As someone who loves dresses in general, the jumpsuit gives me the same ease of getting dressed in the morning (especially on a day I’m running late to work.) The cons…going to the bathroom in public areas, not fun at all.

I realize I had largely removed my outfits from this blog…this is something I want to remedy, and of which I will address hopefully in another post soon! These are photos from the Fall. I’m wearing similar styled jumpsuits for the Winter, but with boots and a thick coat now.

New darkness

I’m gravitating towards wearing a lot of black again, drawn to the dark side once more. Even though in my heart I really love to be polar opposites. Sometimes I wear all black and then neon brights, I like to be dressed up and can rock the casual like nobodies business!

This is an outfit I learned to be comfortable with because it was indeed out of my comfort zone of what I typically wear and how I typically wear these said things. It’s a little masculine, it’s a little modern, I don’t know how to frame this outfit! It’s just edgier than I normally wear my clothes!

The fact alone that I found these pants at a thrift store still amazes me!

Little Red Beret

I made a mistake a few years ago. I stupidly donated my red beret thinking I’d never wear one again. Why?! Don’t even ask me, I can’t remember. But here I am sitting years later, early this month kicking myself because I REALLY needed one again. I should know better than to get rid of wardrobe staples and basics…I’ll eventually want to wear them again.

Then I had to hunt for one all over again and was met with that magic situation where, when you want something, it’s impossible to find! But I was able to find my little hat and I’m a happy camper again. It came in handy for this bitter cold and rainy weather we’ve been having. Especially on days I know the rain and humidity will turn my hair into a big ball of frizz. It’s easy to put on a bright hat and feel more cheerful (even though this weather mixed with the current state of our nation is enough to make me want to stay at home forever!)
